Continuing education

The JGU Center for Continuing Education (ZWW) provides a vast array of programs and services. Gutenberg alumni are entitled to a discount on various courses. Please find the ZWW contact information in the right-hand column.

» Master's degree programs and Continuing Master's programs

Applicants for a place on a Master's degree program or Continuing Master’s program (academic degree) require a certified university degree with relevant practical experience.

» Refresher course (with qualification) (in German language)

Refresher courses are long-term continuing education measures designed to provide professionals with the opportunity to update their knowledge and obtain insight into the most recent developments in their field. The requirements and qualifications offered vary from course to course.

» Continuing education for qualified teachers (in German language)

The focus of the continuing education program for teachers focuses on refreshing their expertise, introducing them to new methodological and didactic approaches as well as their practical applications and practical implementation.

In addition to the continuing education courses provided by the various faculties, the Center for Continuing Education offers continuing education seminars on various subjects.

Our Studying at 50+ program is intended for those who wish to explore the academic world again once they have retired from their profession or have ceased to be homemakers and would like take advantage of what the university offers. The structured course of study includes seminars and events that cater for the interests and needs of older people, while specialist course tutorials is provided as well as the opportunity to obtain a qualification.

» Guest auditor course

A guest auditor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz can obtain general continuing education in various academic subjects without the need to submit evidence of formal academic achievements (university degree, certificates, course certificates, etc.).

» In-house courses for your business
